First time I've watched Indy in a long time - cool to see the series unified - respect the talent and courage but the sloppiness shown with the Danica/Briscoe incident as well as the hapless hackery of Sara Fisher spinning the car while warming up the tires once again shows why nobody from American racing can make it in Formula 1.

Briscoe what an amateur. Indy is for Race car drivers, not bumper car kiddies. There's a reason they kept Danica from him, I'll bet that wet spot in his suit woulda looked funny after she smacked him.

After reading most of these stupid comments, by apparently people who never watch racing. Accidents on pit road happen all the time. How soon we forget Danica fans how she ran over a pit member in PRACTICE !!!!!!! Her attitude and her temper tantrums have grown old. She is in the best equipment out there and all you hear on her radio is complaining. She threw her ex owner under the bus accused him of keep her from winning the 500. If she wasn't a woman these doors of these great rides wouldn't have been open nor would her attitude be tolerated. Some guy would have decked her punk butt by now. As for Briscoe not being able to drive check the statistics. He is a consistant winner in Lemans cars, Formula series cars, And in less equipment Than Danica he's finnished 5th and 10th at Indy.You can be a fan of who ever you want but have a CLUE and FACTS !!!

Why is this incident so notable? Two cars fighting for the same space coming out of the pits, Oh really! Why all the whining? Surprised someone didn't call the police! Accidents at 60 MPH are not all that critical in the annals of racing at this place. Possibly the Fittipaldi and Unser incident in 1989 was a bit more spectacular and dramatic than this fender bender!

I am not an Indy Racing fan, and am completely impartial to the drivers as I do not know them at all, however, I am not blind and anyone else who is not blind can see that Brisoce cut across two lanes into her without even trying to get up to speed first, she tried to avoid him, he continued to screw up by further fishtailing into her and clearly caused the accident. If he can't be man enough to concede these facts and apologize, he should quit and become a politician. Briscoe should have no fan support at all at this point and the fans of all other drivers should be worried as this could happen to their driver with such an ahole on the track.

I'm really getting sick of Danica-thon. She's a whiner who doesn't belong in the sport. Doesn't anybody remember how she was dumb enough to hit someone in the pits... in practice!?!?! IMHO she should've been pulled from the race for that, but she wasn't. Why? Because "she's" Danica. BTW, I cheered when she wrecked.

Need a Foul System in racing
Ryan Briscoe has proven that we can't rely on honesty and sportsmanship to keep racing clean and fair. There need to be penalty points for unsportsmanlike conduct -- like swinging two lanes wide and then fishtailing into another driver -- and then cutting a smartaleck comment like "we both have a brake pedal in our cars, and.. there was still plenty of room for her to get around me." Study the replays, Ryan, and apologize for your sloppy driving and mean mouth. And then take a position penalty for the next race.

i was at the race listenin to my scanner.... Danica is nothing but a spoiled brat!!! nothing but swearing and bitching on the radio like a paris hilton
she needs some class like Milka who was spun out at the same race. who was also takin out of the race
granted it was a mistake. Brisco screwed up that is obvious
but the reason Danica was removed from the pit was it was a HOT PIT with other cars going in and out. Not some where to have a Fight words or otherwise.
She is an hero to alot of young girls and should show some self control. if not for herself but for a role model to young people
But ryan should also be a man and fess up for the mistake

Briscoe take away from Danika the chance to compite and all the pilots go there to compite, was not an accident was a mistake. Inside the pits is not acceptable to push to crash, all the crews are unprotected, as all the fuel. Today Danika is the victim, tomorrow who else?
