ok im a huge Indy fan and i hate seeing my favortie drivers get dnf'd or in to trouble. But my whole thing is i like Sam hornish and Kanaan there two ADULDT champion drivers who could have taken care of what ever little thing that was going on on&off the track on their own! watch the video kanaan said he wasn't going to do anything but talk it out..Loudly but still talk it out with NO VIOLENCE! im not calling Sam a Wimp but at 6'1 i think he could have held his dad back & told him to calm down this wasn't his fight. if Marco Andretti did it! so could sam! i'v met sam in person hes a totaly nice laid back guy who wouldn't throw a punch at tony "dady needs to let sam be a Man and fight his own battles! yeah tony did a few stupid move(s) but thats no reason to pull his card HE DID NOTHING WRONG!! I LOVE YOU TONY!!

The young punk
Sam did no wrong walking over to TK to qeustion his manuver into the pits. Sam Sr was trying to do right by pushing his own son back trying to avoid conflict. However when Sam SR pushed TK back that's where the line was crossed. he should be suspended from the pits for let's say the next four races. The conflict actaully turned for the worse when that young punk took Sam SR to the ground. Who in the heck knocks a senoir citizen down like that. I do not know who he was or what team he is associated with but he needs to be suspended for the rest of the year if not indefiniltly and fined.

Yvonne your pretty wrong
To start this was a racing accident you dont get DQ'ed from a race for a racing accident you dont get DQ'ed froma race for anything. Second Hornish is going to NASCAR next season. I have no idea what you mean by the leader has the right of way IT'S RACING your suppose to pass people do I think Hornish should have tried it no but theres no rule against it. And Kanaan wasnt even the leader. Kanaan shouldnt have swiped Hornish going into the pits. And what does where Hornish pulls up in the pits have to do with anything? The other drivers could stop behind them like Marco did or just go around there's plenty of room.

Enough blame to go around
Pretty clearly Sam had no business trying to force a pass when he did. Bad move and bad decision. TK was still in contention, so he had every right to be mad about the colliison. He had NO RIGHT to swerve like he did entering the pits. Very dangerous. TK, I was in the grandstand wearing a green shirt for you and just bought an AGR ball cap, so I'm on your side 9 put of 10 times, but buddy that was a wrong thing to do. Outside the car was pretty clear cut. Both Hornish Sr. and the clod who clobbered him need some disciplinary action.

No crybabies
This was GREAT!!! As a fellow Buckeye, Sam Hornish expects more than he should get. Tony the Tiger had it right, when you get past 18 you should fight your own fights. I just wish they would have turned Marco loose on Eddie Cheever last year at the Wats. More fights are good for business. Now as far as the fines, REDICULOUS! They both had a right to confront one another and the only safety issue was Sams line on the track and even that sould not be fined. We are getting too soft when we can't even take a heated exchange between two drivers. Get the dads off the track!

AGR Please...Babies
Andretti has been chasing Penske's tail lights for years people....Lets think about that, like in Detroit in the 80's when Michael blocked Emo's pit exit so he could not get out in front of Michael to hold the lead.....Please, as far as Michael he has no class what so ever, never did and never will, not like his father. Mario is a first class guy, but still chasing Penske...Met them both years ago and Mario was great..too bad his son did not pickup on his class..Danica is the perfect fit for the crying AGR team...Sorry Mario has to be associated with them...

Drivers Only !
Watching the incident for about the fifth time, I can’t help but be concerned about the involvement of so many people who did not participated in the race! There will never be a good excuse for the actions of both drivers in the pit lane post race, but up until everybody else gets involved, they were having nothing more than a discussion about the racing incident! The IRL actions, I believe for the most part to be correct. However, I feel strongly that anyone getting involved in an incident between drivers should be dealt with more severely. I’m not bias towards either driver, but Friends/Family/Colleges CANNOT get involved in post race arguments! It is completely unacceptable. A one race pit band doesn’t reflect the severity of the culprit’s actions, and I doubt seriously that it would stop them from re-offending.

Not sure Hornish is wrong here
if you notice, before they even enter the turn, hornish is reasonably alongside of kanaan. as they enter the turn, hornish's left side tires are ON THE RUMBLE STRIP. when initial contact was made, his left side tires were still on the line. so dont be making comments about hornish being a dirty driver

Sheet Metal vs. Carbon Fiber
Mr. and Mrs. Nascar Fan: Why do you feel as if it is your sole responsibility to state your negative feelings toward the IRL? If you dont like it, dont watch and the same applies vica versa. Is it impossible for both series to exist? Maybe I am the only one who is compelled to watch and attend several venues of both series because it has 4 wheels and simply goes faster and closer than what everyone else can go and do legally. Everyone get a grip....I have read the most of the comments regarding TK and Hornish and the Nascar bunch and their comments....what a joke and the same goes for IRL fans toward the Nascar bunch.....someone tell me why it is better to be a fan of one or the other cause as it is I like both. Although, I do have to admit....I would just assume to pay for an Indy Car race ticket than to go watch a Nascar race for free.

Tony is Right....
They are adults and they dont need their daddys trying to stand up for them. I dont care who was right or wrong, it was uncalled for that Mr H pushed Tony. Also whoever that nobody friend of the Andrettis. They BOTH deserve to have their cards pulled for the rest of the season.
Tony was right that they would NOT let it go as far as a physical confrontation. I have no doubt it would have been heated BUT at the same time they are both mature guys that both have respect for one another and it would not have gotten to that immature point that Hornish Sr and the nobody Andretti friend pushed it to.
OH, that reminds me, while I am not a Marco fan, he showed the MOST maturity keeping his dad out of it. Thumbs up to that young man.
