    Weldon the Wimp

This huge crash is CLEARLY Dan Weldons fault. Very clear after watching replays over and over. You know he was well aware of Danica's position and just couldn't stand it. He is a wimp and needs to be severely disciplined for his childish behavior and putting several lives in danger. He is not a man at all.

From my perspective of the video footage available it does indeed look like Wheldon moves across but at the same time Franchetti, moves down. Result is the coming together. What F1 would probably call a racing incident. C'mon wheel to wheel at 200+ mph and there is no room for manouvre, something like that is always happening. It was because Franchetti was airborne, it looked so bad. Thank god no one was injured, that is the key thing. Reading below it looks like there is a big anti-Wheldon bias. Maybe it is because he has dared to speak out against the talent free zone that is Danica Patrick. Obviously a popular lady but for the wrong reasons, she is definitely not a front runner, yet seems to be feted and Wheldon has been the only one with the guts to question this seeming press bias. Although I must admit, his form drop off since the first race of the season has been spectacular.

    Wheldon/ESPN

Sure looks like Danny Boy decided to give Dario a NASCAR move...big clue..this isn't NASCAR....I'd like to know what Dario's private thoughts were after he watched the replay a few times. From what I've seen if Dario moved it sure wasn't very much. Wheldon just turned right into him. Time for Brian to have a word with Mr Dan! RE: ESPN contact them!!! Will post the link on here...There is an Indycar race going on and we get NASCAR and a flippin Tennis match!! :-(

    Whose fault is it?

All i know is that dan wheldons car was elevated more... it wasnt in the air but it was higher. and dario franchittis car was lower.. all they were trying to do was pass each other, and that just what racing is. the interesting thing is that the cars barely touched. And then dario went airbourne! what i thought was kind of weird is that when dario flew backwards it seemed likke dan wheldon was fine, but then he turned around.. it almost seemed like he wanted to see if dario was ok.. i dont thing dario or dan r mad at each other.. ther just both happy that every1 is ok.. none of the drivers involved in the crash were bad at any1... as u can see sam hornish helped flip over the car... he just wanted to see if dario was alrite along with all of the other drivers.

Shut up Danica and win a race!!

When will we stop being caught in the so-called beauty of Danica!? When will we start asking for results, enough with the hot babe (not) sh@@!. I want here to win a race, take her car hard into a corner and panic when someone pulls up on her bumper, last I remember people are out there to win, not just look good.

    Miracle at MIS

Another unbelievable race at MIS. When both Dario
and Dan say it was a racing accident I believe them.
What I don't understand is MIS and IRL not coming
to terms and extending their contract. I also don't
understand why this race does not draw the racing
fans. Over the last decade the Indy races have been absolutely spectacular. If the fans would have
supported this race a new contract would have
been a sure thing. I thanked the Lord when Dario
got up and out of his car and walked away.

    Bleedin' ESPN!

I tuned in to watch this past Sunday, only to find there was a rain delay. Once they started drying out the track, I was livid to find out that ESPN were going to bump the race over to Classic so that they could show some bowling rubbish instead.

Minor point: I don't get ESPN classic.

Thanks, ESPN, for making me miss one heckuva race. I'm just glad to hear that Dario's alright after a bit of a moment like that. I'm a transplanted Scot, so no prizes for guessing who I'm rooting for...

    Yes, Wheldon

Anyone who can't see that Wheldon is at fault is either sight-challenged or severely biased. Dario clearly had control and position, and made no excessive movement. Wheldon was the one aggressively moving up into his space. I don't think he intentionally hit Dario; but Wheldon has a history of driving carelessly, and deserves to be harshly penalized.
