I used to support Wheldon, but I've watched this many times and it appears he moves up in an attempt to block the oncoming car. Touching Dario's rear tire. Did Dan know it was Danica???
Glad that Franchitti is OK!

Could have been worse
It looks to me like the attitude of Dario's car near the end of the first flip is such that a horrible series of barrel rolls was about to ensue. Another car then collects him and launchs him back in the air - removing some more energy from the accident and Dario lands upside down and slides to a stop. Thank God he's OK!

Dario's Accident
I WAS THERE AND SAW THE ENTIRE INCIDENT THROUGH MY BINOCULARS, I WAS HORRIFIED. i'VE SEEN SOME HORRIFYING ACCIDENTS STARTING WITH THE 1964 INDY 500. kENNY BRACK AND RYAN BRISCOE'S ACCIDENT WERE ALSO A TESTIMENT TO THE SAFETY OF THE IRL. THANK GOD THEY WERE ALL OK.

You have done something good so God has looked over you
I wish you a quick recovery something you have done good so God saved you this time. I do pray for all of you to be safe every time though I am a Danica and Tony Kanaan fan, but we are all a contributing to our fan excitment and cheers for the winning driver. Hope you will be well for the next race for your fans.

Rethink Safety?
The fact that Dario walked away from this only goes to show how much thought they have put into to safety.
