
Performances by three national rock music acts are the highlight of Coke Zero 500 College Fest on Saturday, May 17 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Music on the Coke Zero Stage in the Pagoda Plaza starts from 2-2:30 p.m. with a performance by Forever The Sickest Kids. OK Go takes the stage from 2:45-3:45 p.m., with Sum 41 performing from 4-5 p.m.
Young Dallas-based Universal Motown recording artist Forever The Sickest Kids are promoting their debut album, "Underdog Alma Mater."
OK Go made a name for itself with the entertaining video for the hit song "Here It Goes Again," in which the band danced on a series of treadmills. The band has two major-label albums: 2002's "OK Go" and 2005's "Oh No."
Island recording artist Sum 41 hit the big time in 2001 with its first hit full-length album, "All Killer No Filler," which spawned the No. 1 single "Fat Lip."
All three shows are free with gate admission, which is $10, with ages 5 and under free. Public gates open at 8 a.m. (ET). Third Day Qualifying for the 92nd Indianapolis 500 will be on track from noon-6 p.m., with practice from 10:15-11:15 a.m.
There will be even more fun geared toward the college crowd, as a Cornhole Tailgate Toss Tournament presented by Wild Sales will take place from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. east of the Pagoda Plaza. Prizes will be awarded.
A free Coca-Cola limited-edition collectible pin will be distributed to fans beginning at 11 a.m. in MotoGP garage No. 34, just south of Bombardier Learjet Pagoda, and will continue while limited supplies last (one pin per guest).
A free Indy 500 Driver Collectible Trading Card sheet will be distributed beginning at 11 a.m. in Pagoda Plaza while supplies last. Free temporary tattoos will be distributed in Pagoda Plaza from 8 a.m.-6 p.m.
America Supports You T-shirts and dog tags will be available for purchase from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. in Pagoda Plaza, with all proceeds going to Fisher House, which provides free or low-cost lodging to veterans and military families receiving treatment at military medical centers. T-shirts are $20, and dog tags are $5.
CardioChek is providing free cholesterol and glucose screenings courtesy of Vision Racing, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. in MotoGP garage No. 34.
Indy 500 tickets on sale: Tickets are on sale for the 2008 Indianapolis 500 on Sunday, May 25, the 92nd running of "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing."
Fans can order tickets online at www.indianapolismotorspeedway.com, by calling the IMS ticket office at (317) 492-6700 or (800) 822-INDY outside the Indianapolis area, or at the ticket office at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Parking and camping information also can be obtained through the ticket office.
Hours for phone orders and the ticket office are 8 a.m.-6 p.m. (ET) Monday-Sunday during May, with special hours of 6 a.m.-1 p.m. on Race Day, Sunday, May 25. Online orders can be made at any time. Race Day ticket prices start at just $20.
