2003 Indy 500 Champion De Ferran Named To All-America Team

2003 Indianapolis 500 champion Gil de Ferran was selected to the 2003 Auto Racing All-America team in the Open Wheel category, earning first-team honors after receiving more votes than any other driver in the class.

Members of the American Auto Racing Writers and Broadcasters Association (AARWBA) vote on the annual awards.

It was the third time de Ferran has been selected to the first team in Open Wheel, also earning the honor in 2000 and 2001. He also has been named to the second team twice.

IRL® IndyCar® Series champion Scott Dixon and CART champion Paul Tracy joined de Ferran on the first team in Open Wheel this year.
