Digital Orchid, IMS, IRL To Provide Mobile Content To Fans

Digital Orchid will team up with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Indy Racing League to provide mobile content about the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Indianapolis 500, IndyCar Series and Indy Pro Series to fans, starting Sept. 22.

The IndyCar® Series, Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Digital Orchid, a leading provider in the development and distribution of real-time wireless applications for major sports and entertainment brands, announced a wireless partnership that will bring IndyCar Series, Indy Pro Series™, Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Indianapolis 500 wallpapers, ring tones and informational applications to download to mobile phones across the globe.

Beginning Sept. 22, Digital Orchid's mobile technology platform will provide compelling mobile content to IndyCar Series fans worldwide, allowing users to stay connected to the sport, their favorite drivers and teams 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In addition, Digital Orchid may enable fans to download wallpapers of their favorite drivers and cars, schedules, standings, news, racing results and audio highlights.

Through this partnership, Digital Orchid will provide branded IndyCar Series and IMS content for the mobile phone, and launch a WAP mobile Web portal for race fans to view the latest IndyCar Series and IMS information on their cell phones at any time.

The mobile initiative aims to increase fan awareness and adoption of wireless products and services through providing "Best-Of-Breed" IndyCar Series and IMS cell phone content for race fans.

"We are excited to be chosen as the provider and distributor of exclusive IMS and IndyCar Series mobile content," said Daniel Daou, CEO, Digital Orchid. "The Indianapolis Motor Speedway and IndyCar Series are great additions to our brand portfolio, and through our partnership, IMS and IndyCar Series fans will soon have the ability to view action-packed racing images, audio and video features, and the latest race circuit news and statistics from their cell phones. This is a very exciting step for Digital Orchid, IMS, IndyCar Series and racing fans around the world."

All mobile content for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Indianapolis 500, IndyCar Series and Indy Pro Series will soon be available for purchasing directly from indycar.com, the IndyCar Series' official Web site, and indianapolismotorspeedway.com.

"We are excited about our partnership with Digital Orchid and the many opportunities it affords the IndyCar Series and its fans," said Mike Ringham, vice president of marketing for the Indy Racing League. "We haven't even scratched the surface on what we could offer our fans, and the sky is the limit as it relates to mobile content and what we make of it."

Said Nicole Garside, IMS director of licensing, "We are very excited to welcome Digital Orchid into our racing family and help provide exciting cell phone content to our race fans. At the IndyCar Series, we look at our content through the eyes of a race fan. A cell phone is the only form of communication and entertainment that is always available to fans, no matter where they are, 24/7.

"With years of experience providing cell phone content, Digital Orchid has proven to be the best in the industry. Every team member at Digital Orchid is a racing fan, and they make the extra effort to create content that will generate excitement for fans and help bring every fan one step closer to experiencing the excitement of the IndyCar Series."
