    May 29, 1948: After giving up on the much more modern and potent Sparks-Thorne of Ray Brady, California Midget ace Mel Hansen qualifies the legendary "Poison Lil" Sprint Car, second slowest in the field.
    Car was built in 1932, and driven to numerous wins and championships by drivers like Kelly Petillo, Bill Cummings, Al Gordon, Rex Mays, Duke Nalon, Spider Webb, George & Hal Robson and many more.
