Day 1 Practice
The six car lineup of the ceremonial lap before the first day of practice included six former race winners competing in the 2006 Indianaoplis 500. They were led by 2005 winner Dan Wheldon; the second row comprised Helio Castroneves and Buddy Rice; and rounding out the third row was Al Unser Jr., Buddy Lazier, and Eddie Cheever, Jr.
