I agree with Jack. With this being a nostalgic time for the Centennial Era, coming up with a more retro design on the 2010 Camaro would be expected. Come on IMS..........

Camaro Pace Car
Looks great! There was a 1/25th scale model of the 93 Pace Car with AMT, I think. Are there any plans for a 1/25 scale plastic model kit for this one? Revell already has a Concept Camaro that replicates this year's Camaro. If you would license the logos for decals this would be an excellent build for modelers around the world!

The best is yet to come?
Knowing IMS and their sense of history, I would not be at all surprised to see a white and orange Camaro CONVERTIBLE pacing the "500" in 2011.

Who comes up with this stuff???
Great Choice. I have thought for some time that the Camaro would be the choice. Unfortunately, someone at the Speedway just can't fully appreciate history. This car should have been pearl white with orange accents or orange with white accents in a historical salute to the 1969 Camaro (40 years ago)?????

Hot dogs, baseball, apple pie and CAMARO!!! Ya gotta love it!!!
As a weekly columnist (the Old Car Column, St. Louis Post-Dispatch) writing about American cars of the past century, I was very pleased when I learned that this Chevrolet icon had been chosen to pace the 2009 Indianapolis 500. Long live the sport and long live the great American automobiles! BUY AMERICAN... Put America Back to Work! (tm). Visit http://www.stltoday.com/rides to read my story about the 1969 Camaro.
