 Awesome Buddy! I guess by now many folks on the various web-sites may have a pretty strong clue that I am a die-hard Buddy Lazier fan. The guy just completely hung his rear out there and delivered in the clutch. There is no doubt that his performances at the Indy 500 should place him in the legends column. Just take a look at his run of finishes in the late 90s! Panther gives him a competitive car in 05 and he delivered the goods even with his front left wing gone. Buddy is still haunted by the second place finishes of 98 and 00 but I believe his biggest disappointment may have occurred during the 2001 race where he dropped a cylinder. I have absolutely no doubts that if this had not occurred he would have been a major threat to Helio and Gil. He gave Montoya fits (the only one) during the 00 race and might just have gotten by him if not for lapped cars getting in the way. Put this guy in a competitive car at Indy and I'll take him everytime if it comes down to a shootout.
