always thought it was arrogant of f-1 to demand their own garages. gasoline alley is a hallowed piece of real estate. maybe the speedway will tear down the f-1 garages and put our tower terrace seats back. also thought it was arrogant for f-1 to demand their own victory circle. funny how there's an elevated stage for the f-1 top three while the indy 500 victory lane is against the wall at ground level. i long for the days when the winning car would make that final left turn into victory lane, and the crew would gather at the rear and push it up onto the checkered platform. ah, the good old days. but i digress, good riddance formula one. kind of wish nascar would go away too. |

anyone who loves open wheel should rally to have f1 back in the us. where better than indy? did you see the crowds at the last f1 race?people come from central and south america to see it! its easier to be a spectator at indy than a course like the glen. we attand the 500 yearly and saw the last 3 f1 races there. the money is there for ims if the tv deals can be reached. think worldwide people. only soccer is bigger than f1. if it can come back to the us why not indy?? ill be thinking of this while im at mid ohio with my family watching future and former f1 drivers compete in indy cars and alms sportscars. marquee racing is all one community and should support all lest your favorite form of it wither to the economy, not to mention we will have a usa based team to cheer for in 2010 and beyond. |
