A person who is not able to handle the traffic, should not drive a car, much less an Indy car. It seems to me that your bravery causes others to feel inferior. I admire any woman that shows courage, determination, and guts; after all, I have a daughter who , at age of 12, decided to be a GYN. It wosn't easy, but today she is a very good one, and I am extremely proud of her. Dear Danica I admire you, therefore if people don't give you respect, get it from them. What about F 1? I hope you could drive a Ferrari!

I guess Briscoe showed us just how inexperienced he was today! I guess it takes a real amateur to win a race. Danica needs to keep a lid on her temper--in the past she has taken her own teammate out in the pits, it's just racing. I'm just happy Briscoe was vindicated today.

To me it looks like pit road is to narrow.
I have driven a race car and you dont have much visabilty out of a helmit. Not to mention your running in the Indy 500 your excitment is off the chart. I dont believe this was a plan to take out another driver, these are expensive toys not tax payers missles.
dont get me wrong if it wasnt for Danika i could car less who won. She does good for the sport and the IRL. Bad luck is drivers worst problem

The crowd appluaded when she got out and headed for Briscoe the Fool. We got louder as she got closer and were trying to decide if she could kick his a$$. She was having a good day in a fair car. Too bad she did not get the chance to finish. Penske's mistake- Briscoe. Briscoe's mistake- not being man enough to admit his mistake. Danika's mistakes- not landing a right cross and not wearing a yellow Nomex sundress, she looks great in yellow!!! Next year.

I see nothing but people complaining about how briscoe took danica out....boo hoo. Maybe IMS needs to put the pit lane markings back in the pit to show what is a lane. without the markings, there is only one lane to me. Did Briscoe pull out and intentionally run into Danica? um, no. He knew she was coming so he tried to get out of her way, that is when he spun the tires. You see him move the wheel to the left before he spins the tires. give him credit for trying. Could Danica have slowed down, been 'blocked' by Briscoe, then argue that point to race control, and they would have put her ahead of the #6. She is too impatient, do whiny, and no room in IndyCar for a crybaby driver.

If I ever doubted that women belonged in a brutally challenging sport like Indy car racing, that question was answered by " The Walk " of Danica Patrick ! If I had a race team, I would want to see that kind of passion and competitive spirit in my drivers.

In reference to Diane's comment on 25 May, you need to stay in the kitchen if you're jealous of Danica!! The crew member has admitted that he stepped out in front of Danica when she hit him. He wasn't paying attention by his own admission. Watch the video again, why should she need a brake pedal? She moved out of Briscoe's way and he still hit came out and hit her. If she had hit her brakes he would have taken out her front suspension! That comment was out of sheer jealousy of Danica, nothing more!
