I agree with Jody, John and Steve, it wasn't Marco's fault. If you look at the video you can see that trun one get really narrow and not alot off room to give. its up hill Dario had plenty of time to lift and wait for the next set of turns, He had plebty of time to see what Maro was doing. besided all this every drive out ther wants to win every race, even if he has years ahead of him. I am a racer and I dont see where it could have been Marco's fault. People want to blame Marco becasuse he has the Andretti name .

Marco's Fault
I'm not a Dario fan, but you can't expect a driver to lift with Scott Dixon on their heels while heading for a corner going 50 mph faster than someone exiting the pits. He was on the racing line and Marco, by the very nature of having just exited the pits, was on the outside moving down toward the apex of the turn. Have you ever seen how leaders get passed because there is slower traffic ahead that the driver behind takes advantage of? The patience argument is out the window. If, as Michael says, Dario would have made the pass in the next corner anyway to give AGR 1st and 2nd, then that's all the more reason for Marco to let him through and maybe even slow Dixon down some. I don't have a crystal ball, but my guess is Marco would have been passed by Franchitti, Dixon and Kanaan if the race would have played out without the contact.

Marco's Fault
Yep fully agree with Justin....He's got plenty of years ahead of him to win races & championships, should have let Dario threw at first oppurtunity and tried holding on for 2nd!
....But im a Kiwi so good on ya Marco :)

Marco's fault
I agree it was Marco's fault, he should have let Dario by. As for Michael'c comment he should be thinking of the team first and as a father second. Marco is starting to sound like a spoiled little boy, whining to his Daddy.

Dario's fault
Marco was on racing line, was leading the race and hoping to hold the rest of the pack till heating his tires. All other drivers would do the same.

I'm with Justin
I think Justin put it all quite nicely. If it wasn't going to happen anyway, look for it now. Hornish to NASCAR and Franchitti to Penske. Roger doesn't have a son driving for his team.

Michael,s fault
As team owner he should have never let that conflicting situation shape up via Marco's team pit strategy. Then he had the nerve to blame Dario for not having more patience, something Machael never thought of as a driver, I hope that Dario can salvage the championship in spite of his boss.

Not completely Marco's fault
I don't think it is fair to blame Marco for everything just because he was not going to be able to maintain the lead position. Dario being the championship leader is his responsibility not Marco's.
It was a racing deal, and it stinks, but it is woulda, shoulda, coulda, didn't.... On to Detroit!
